Philadelphia's The Last Barbarians continue their series of 2010 2-song EPs with Boisterized, the follow-up to Take It Back.  Opening with "Poseidon's Lion", The Last Barbarians show off a big-guitar sound in a wide-open arrangement that sounds like it should leave to chaos but doesn't quite. There's a definite Low-Fi feel to the song, but at the same time there's an element of finesse involved. The Last Barbarians drop any pretenses on "The Saint" shredding their hearts out on the vibrant rocker. Boisterized is a definite escalation from the previous Take It Back EP, showing a gutsier guitar sound and a willingness to skate on the edge musically. It's a solid turn.
